LIFETIME WARRANTY
Many parts sold by A1 Imports of Austin are covered by a limited LIFETIME WARRANTY
This non-transferable warranty is valid for original purchaser only for as long as they own their car. Original purchaser must retain sales receipt for ANY warranty claim. Proof of purchase is required prior to obtaining any warranty adjustment.
Parts currently included in this program are:

STANDARD WARRANTY
All mechanical parts, electrical parts, and assemblies sold by A1 Imports of Austin not included in the limited lifetime warranty above are covered by a standard 90 day warranty.

Glass, body panels, trim, and appearance items are sold as is and are only guaranteed to be sold as represented and to be the correct part for your application. There is no "length of time" warranty on these items.

Tires are not covered by any warranty (unless covered by manufacturer) and are sold as is.

ALL RETURNS OR WARRANTY CLAIMS must be accompanied by original sales receipt.

EXTENDED WARRANTIES
As an independent automotive recycler we greatly appreciate the confidence that you place in us when you decide to make a purchase.  To further serve your needs we have developed an extended warranty program to enhance the value of your purchase, and to help shield you from the expenses that that you might incur should you experience a covered part failure. Please consider carefully your options in choosing an extended warranty that best serves your needs.

ENGINE / TRANSMISSION WARRANTIES

• SILVER --- $99.00 --- 6 Month Part Replacement Only Limited Warranty
• GOLD --- $199.00 --- 12 Month Part & Labor Limited Warranty
• PLATINUM --- $299.00 --- LIFETIME Part & Labor Limited Warranty
*If A1 Imports of Austin sells and installs an engine or transmission, it is automatically covered by the 
GOLD 12 Month part and labor extended warranty at no additional cost to the customer.

EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Warranty begins from the original date of purchase, not at the date of installation, and not as an addition to the standard warranty.
SILVER warranty is part replacement only.  No labor or other reimbursements paid.
GOLD & PLATINUM warranties cover part replacement & labor of up to a maximum of 10 flat rate hours.
Labor claims will be paid based on the Chilton Labor Guide at a rate of $40.00 per flat rate hour, up to the limit of warranty coverage. (not to exceed ten (10) flat rate hours)
Warranties may only be purchased, and are only valid, if an approved ASE certified shop installs the part.
Labor claims are covered only to the amount and duration of coverage purchased.  Multiple claims against the same part are        capped by the amount of coverage purchased, regardless of incidence of part failure.
A1 Imports of Austin must approve ALL Warranty claims BEFORE any work is done. NO EXCEPTIONS!
A1 Imports of Austin reserves the right to have labor performed at a facility of its choice.
A1 Imports of Austin reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the purchase price of any part sold under the standard or extended warranties.
Warranty void if the covered part fails due to faulty installation, modification, negligent use, or by the failure of a non covered component part.
Warranty is void if part sold is used for racing, commercial, or off road use.
No reimbursement will be made for expenses incurred due to the use of or failure of the purchased part, including but not limited to towing, lost wages or income, lost time or inconvenience.
Gaskets, fluids, seals, filters or other materials are not warranted.
Warranty claims will be paid only upon the receipt of all receipts for work performed.
It is the purchaser's responsibility to retain the original invoice and present it for claim.
Warranty is for original purchaser only, and is not transferable, except when purchased by a dealer for install into a customer's vehicle, in which case it is valid for that customer only.
Extended Warranties and Labor Coverage are NOT refundable or returnable.
Declining purchase or failure to purchase labor warranty releases A1 Imports of Austin from all labor claims.
A1 Imports of Austin reserves the right to suspend, modify or discontinue any or all parts of the Extended Warranty and Labor Coverage program without notice.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:

ENGINE INSTALLATION:
Replace: thermostat, timing belt(s) (if equipped), engine oil and filter, rear main seal prior to installing engine in vehicle.
Inspect: radiator, cooling fans, water pump, hoses, gaskets, timing components, seals, sending units, and gaskets and repair or replace as necessary. Pay particular attention to cooling fan operation and radiator condition if old engine was overheating. SOMETHING caused it to overheat! Overheating is not a warranty issue under any circumstance.
Damage resulting from broken timing belt(s) is not covered by warranty and any claim for these reasons will be denied. See installation instructions above.
Damage resulting from loss of fluid, low fluid level, or incorrect fluid type is not covered by this warranty and any claim for these reasons will be denied. See installation instructions above.
OVERHEATED ENGINES ARE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY… PERIOD! OVERHEATING IS NOT CAUSED BY PROPER ENGINE OPERATION.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VEHICLE OWNER, INSTALLING REPAIR FACILITY OR MECHANIC TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR ANY CONDITIONS THAT MIGHT CAUSE ENGINE OVERHEATING.
OPERATING VEHICLE WITH COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEMS VOIDS ANY ENGINE WARRANTY --- IS THIS CLEAR YET?
Damage due to misuse, abuse, racing, off road use or improper installation is not covered by this warranty.
By following these simple installation rules, overheating and oil/coolant loss problems should be eliminated.

TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION:
Replace: axle seals, rear main seal, input shaft seal as applicable prior to installing transmission in vehicle.
Inspect: sending units, hoses, shift linkages for damage or leakage and repair, exchange, or replace as necessary prior to installing transmission in vehicle.
Once installed, fill transmission and differential with proper fluid. Many transmissions have a separate differential. Make sure that both are filled to proper level with correct fluid.
Damage resulting from loss of fluid, low fluid level, or incorrect fluid type is not covered by this warranty and any claim for these reasons will be denied. See installation instructions above.
Damage due to misuse, abuse, racing, off road use or improper installation is not covered by this warranty.
By following these simple installation rules, most fluid loss problems should be eliminated.

REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION:
Replace axle seals, input shaft seal prior to installation in vehicle.
Swap any necessary items such as brakes, backing plates, sensors, etc.
Fill to proper level with manufacturers recommended fluid and check for any leaks.
Damage resulting from loss of fluid, low fluid level, or incorrect fluid type is not covered by this warranty and any claim for these reasons will be denied. See installation instructions above.
Damage due to misuse, abuse, racing, off road use or improper installation is not covered by this warranty.
By following these simple installation rules, many fluid loss problems should be eliminated.
